Recently, as slow aging and natural youthful appearance have emerged as beauty trends, interest in lifting procedures is increasing. In particular, the lifting treatment market, which was previously centered on middle-aged people, is rapidly changing as the number of people in their 20s and 30s seeking lifting procedures is increasing.
Laser lifting is in the spotlight as a low-burden, high-satisfaction procedure because it can be expected to improve elasticity and alleviate wrinkles without making incisions in the skin. Among them, Ulthera is a representative high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU)-based lifting treatment that is well known for inducing collagen regeneration by precisely targeting the dermal layer and fascial layer (SMAS) of the skin.
Recently, Ultherapy Prime, a further evolution of Ultherapy treatment, has been introduced in Korea and is becoming a hot topic. Ulthera Prime is an upgraded version that greatly improves precision and effectiveness by complementing and modifying the limitations of existing Ulthera equipment. Previously, it was possible to observe the skin layer up to 4.5 mm using ultrasound images, but Ulthera Prime can check the skin structure up to 8 mm in real time, making more precise procedures possible.
The resolution of ultrasound images has also improved, allowing medical staff to analyze each individual's skin condition in real time and set the appropriate treatment depth and tip. Through this, the lifting effect is maximized and the possibility of side effects such as cheek dents is reduced. The speed of the procedure is also faster, allowing the procedure to be completed quickly and with less pain.
However, we must not forget that the success of a lifting procedure depends as much on the skill of the medical staff as on the performance of the equipment. As Ulthera Prime is based on advanced technology, satisfactory results can only be expected when performed by professional medical staff with sufficient understanding and experience of the principles and functions of the equipment.
Kang Minji, director of JAYJUN Dermatology, emphasized, "Ulthera Prime is a technologically advanced device, but the expected results can only be achieved when the patient's skin condition and degree of aging are accurately analyzed and the appropriate treatment design is combined. Also, even with the same equipment, results may vary depending on the operator's experience and know-how, so it is important to select an experienced medical staff who is dedicated to the entire process from consultation to treatment."
