After eye surgery

Swelling and posture during eye recovery
The skin around the eyes is thin and relatively delicate. Rest comfortably until at least day 3, and avoid lifting heavy objects or bending your head down.
Recovery varies from person to person, but significant swelling and bruising subside within 1–4 weeks. Mild swelling may persist for up to 6 months.

Cold and warm compresses
Swelling is greatest during the first 3–4 days after surgery.Apply cold compresses frequently for 1 week.

Wound care
If the incision bleeds after surgery, apply pressure to the bleeding area with a cotton swab or gauze for about 5–10 minutes to stop the bleeding. This is a normal part of recovery. Use a clean cotton swab or gauze to wipe away only the blood that seeps out.

Washing your face, showering and makeup
Until your stitches are removed, gently wipe away tears and eye discharge with clean gauze. You may wash your face and shower without bending your head down, keeping water away from the surgical area. You may wear makeup after your stitches are removed.

Exercise and sauna
Strenuous exercise puts pressure on the eyes. Warm water and heat in a sauna may cause the stitched area to open, allowing bacteria to enter and cause infection.Gentle walks and stretching are fine, but wait at least 1 month before strenuous exercise or using a sauna.

Alcohol and smoking
Alcohol and smoking weaken the immune system and can cause infection and inflammation. Focus on caring for the surgical area for at least 1 month after surgery.

After nose surgery

Swelling and posture during nose recovery
Rest comfortably until at least day 3. For about 1 month from immediately after surgery, irritating the surgical area or doing activities that raise your blood pressure may cause sudden swelling. Avoid lifting heavy objects or bending your head down.
1. Sleep on your back.2. Recovery varies from person to person, but significant swelling and bruising subside within 1–4 weeks. Mild swelling may persist for up to 6 months.3. For 2 weeks after surgery, avoid oily, spicy and salty foods, as they may affect swelling and strain your digestive system.

Cold and warm compresses
Swelling is greatest during the first 3–4 days after surgery.Apply cold compresses frequently for 1 week.

Wound care
Minor bleeding may occur from the day of surgery through day 3. Gently wipe only the outside with a clean tissue or gauze, without irritating the area.Never blow your nose, even if it feels blocked!
Depending on the surgical method, cotton packing inside the nose and skin-colored tape on the outside are used to prevent wound infection, provide compression and hold the implant in place. Do not remove them yourself.

Scar care
Protect the wound from UV exposure, as UV rays may cause dark pigmentation at the wound site.

Washing your face, showering and makeup
Until your stitches are removed, gently wipe away tears and eye discharge with clean gauze. From the day after your stitches and splint are removed, you may resume regular face washing with minimal irritation. You may wear makeup after at least 1 week, but avoid irritating your skin.

Glasses
You may wear contact lenses from day 3 after surgery. Wait at least 1 month before wearing glasses. You may also purchase and wear lightweight glasses specifically designed for use after nose surgery.

Exercise and sauna
Strenuous exercise puts pressure on the nose and carries a risk of impact. Gentle walks and stretching are fine, but wait at least 1 month, until recovery has stabilized, before strenuous exercise. Warm water and heat in a sauna may cause the stitched area to open, allowing bacteria to enter and cause infection, so wait at least 1 month before using a sauna as well.

Alcohol and smoking
Alcohol and smoking weaken the immune system and can cause infection and inflammation. Focus on caring for the surgical area for at least 1 month after surgery.
