Many people with thick upper eyelids worry that double-eyelid surgery may not give them attractive creases. Dr. Kang Hyungjoo of JAYJUN Plastic Surgery explains how these creases can be created. There are 4 main reasons for thick upper eyelids: 1. Thick skin or muscle 2. A large amount of fat 2. A short distance between the brows and eyelids 3. Protruding eyes. These are the 4 main factors. Creating a crease in thick eyelids can lead to puffy, ‘sausage-like’ folds or creases that easily loosen. A low crease is therefore usually preferable. To create an attractive crease, it can help to combine double-eyelid surgery with other procedures. Fat can be removed through a full or partial incision to reduce eyelid thickness and create an attractive crease. A forehead lift may be considered when the brows and eyelids are close together. When the eyelids protrude, a slightly lower crease can create a more attractive, refreshed appearance. These different approaches allow us to create more attractive creases for people with thick eyelids.Join JAYJUN Talks✧*.◟(ˊᗨˋ)◞.*✧
