Should I have a facelift at the same time?’ We receive this question often, so we asked Dr. Kim Kiwan and Dr. Shin Insu for their answers. Skin sagging can occur after facial contouring, but a facelift is not always necessary. The two procedures do not always need to be combined, and any sagging cannot necessarily be attributed to facial contouring alone. It depends on the patient’s preferences and individual considerations, and sagging does not occur in every case. We therefore recommend starting with facial contouring, monitoring the progress and then considering a facelift. Each case is assessed individually. The choice between facial contouring alone and combining it with lifting depends on factors such as bone structure, volume loss and skin elasticity. A consultation with the doctor will help determine a procedure that matches both your wishes and your needs.
